Magellan is about to release a new compact automotive GPS System the Magellan Roadmate 3000T. This new GPS device that is pictured on the left has a new design compared with the previous Roadmate models that combines and to be honest I like this new rounded design. The 3000T has a 3.5″ hi-resolution anti-glare color touchscreen, 4GB hard disk with SD card capability for additional user storage, integrated MP3 Player and Picture Viewer. Some of the other features include:
Preloaded maps (Navteq) of 50 USA states, Canada and Puerto Rico.
3D bird eye and 2D map views
Turn-by-turn visual and voice guidance
Over 6 million POIs
SmartDetour
Auto Re-route
Automatic night view (The displayed map background color switches to night view at sundown)
SmartVolume™, the volume automatically increases at speeds over 45 MPH
QuickSpell (sorts, searches, and checks spelling for rapid address entry with minimal keystrokes, accelerating your data entry by matching letters to the available destinations.)
Optional traffic module
The Roadmate 3000T is expected to start shipping in late April with a price of 600$

In love but confused: Was
about to buy the Roadmate 760 beause I enjoyed it so much in a Hertz rental. I want to make the right decision about the model. I want what I had in the Hertz car or better, but wonder about new models for less
money($799.99) for the 760
and $600 for new models.
I have never experienced
such calm in my travels in
California as I have using
North star for the first time. I’M SOLD! Is Magellan on the stock market.
Conclusion: Should I buy the 760 or something newer.
Increased cost is not a problem but I don’t want to overkill my needs. I’m 79
years old and want to travel without the trepidation. My wife reads
the info while I drive and listen, consequently the system needs to be mounted.I have a Lincoln Town car.
Thank you for a great product.

We are in the process of purchasing a GPS for our trip to Arizona from Pennsylvania. We were thinking of purchasing the Roadmate 800 but noticed in our ad from Sears that they were advertising the Magellan 3000. What I would like to know is this the same as the Magellan 3000T.
Thanks for your help!
Hi Carl,
Yes it is the same. Actually there is no magellan 3000 but only Magellan 3000T but I guess a lot of people even shops omit the T at the end.
